The Things I Wish to Become

It has been days since graduation, a day that marks the end of a long educational journey, yet certainly not the essence of learning itself. As we stand at this peak, let us remember that this path is merely one segment of the many roads stretching out before us. Our journey began on an Earthen Road as freshmen, arriving with hopeful hearts and ambitious dreams for our chosen programs. For me, that path led to a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a choice influenced by the significantly smaller student body compared to Information Technology and Computer Engineering. Despite the initial anxiety and doubt, I pushed through. It's a vital lesson for us all: new experiences can be daunting, but we must never be consumed by the fear of stepping into the unknown. Then came the Gravel Road, symbolizing the hardships and challenges we faced through countless school assignments: ELMS activities, quizzes, task performances, and examinations. Each of us is unique, possessing different strengths. Whether you're academically smart, physically smart, creatively smart, or street smart, no single type of intelligence is superior. Instead, our collective journey is enriched by the diverse ways we each navigate this gravel path. Recognizing and leveraging our individual strengths was, and remains, key to successfully reaching our destination. Finally, we traversed the Asphalt Road, the smoothest and most efficient part of our journey as we grew closer to our ideals. While this phase offers a clearer path, it often leads to uncertainty with its own twists and turns. We encountered humps, traffic lights, and potholes, constant reminders not to rush, to stay organized, and to live systematically. Behind all the triumphs, I extend my deepest gratitude to God Almighty for the opportunity and guidance to achieve my goals and find success in this chapter of my life. I also want to thank my family, friends, mentors, classmates, and partner for their unwavering support and tireless efforts in every step I took towards my dreams. I must also acknowledge the Mine Community and Cyan Realms, where I found a welcoming and joyful community. Becoming part of their Staff Team allowed me to connect with online strangers who became true friends, guiding me as I transitioned into a better version of myself. "I know that I know nothing" — this famous quote, attributed to the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, resonates deeply. I stand here today because I had people I could rely on to help and guide me. It's not that I'm incapable of learning; rather, I'm committed to continuously seeking new knowledge and exploring different perspectives in life. I truly believe that the more you learn, the more profoundly you realize how much more there is yet to discover. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
